When an old man offered to give him whatever he wanted, he asked for everything he touched to be turned to gold. he thought he was very excited and turned many things to gold, he thought he was very lucky man. but then tried to eat an apple, and it turned to gold before he could eat it.

When his daughter touched him, she turned into gold as well the king was then very sad, but the old man told him what to do, the king bathed in th eriver and then touched his daughter, and all the other things, and they were no longer gold, the king learnt his lesson, and stopped being a miser.
